Hello all. Two questions. Does anyone know how much the dealer charges to reset airbag light fault codes? And secondly, how much would a oem windshield cost?

Here's why, I was traveling down the hwy Friday and drove through some caltrans construction along the way. The workers were not present at the time but they left the hwy in horrible shape. They are resurfacing the hwy and between the old surfaces and new surfaces are huge brutal lips. I saw the first few patches and slowed to 35mph and eased over them. I did not see the last two and my car hit them so violently I was thrown out of my seat and my car suffered a cracked windshield and my airbag light came on. Now seriously?!? They can't throw some effing dirt down or smooth that out before they call it a day? So.. I am filling a claim with caltrans to pay for the damages to my vehicle but I'm curious as to what the dealer would charge for this before I take it down for a quote.

Better to file it on your insurance. Sounds like the airbag/seatbelt sensor was tripped? My body shop guy was telling me about, I thought it was bs till I read your post.

I recently paid $75.00 to get mine reset. I was told it should of cost over a $100.00. Good luck.
