F12 / F13 (2012 - Current)
The future is now! The all new 6 series coupe (F12) and convertible (F13) details are out and dealers are taking orders. Still no word on when the 4 door Gran Coupe will go into production. |

Reading posts, Dinan Stage 2 in the spring is looking more promising. I too like the security of the xDrive on slippery roads. Like Southern, still wish I had the B&O though.

At the Beemer shop right now
Stage 2 in one hour Update While they installed the software, I started fiddling with a M6 MY12 sitting on the floor. It's tough if compared to prior years to spot the differences. Regardless, the badger had the nerve to tell me that another M6 MY12 that is available in the area, with only 700 miles has a different engine (!), that's why is for sale for 110. According to Mr badger, the M6 had 500 hp and then 560hp later in that model year. I got out of there at once. Got into my car and such a difference with the stage 2... I am a believer now of the church of Dinan cars!

Regarding depreciation, just go to your dealer and look at the projected residuals from a lease for the 650 versus M6. the M6 is significantly lower. |

My wife thinks I'm lying about this and when our new business takes off, she thinks I'm gonna buy the fastest cars available. We'll see. I told her I don't need the fastest cars. I am already endowed enough to be satisfied wiithout needing the fastest, biggest car. Since she now understands why a lot of guys get fast cars she agreed I don't need them. Yes, that made me feel great. |

Do the updated 2013s really increase the the depreciation %age in the 2012s?

At the very least, I'd think it would make it harder to unload a '12 to any second hand buyer who us somewhat educated. Given that most of these cars will resale at prices higher than many fine, new cars, I'd expect a lot of buyers to have this knowledge. Could be wrong though...
