Random Beeping

I've tried to search this topic, but it is a difficult one to find...every so often when I am driving I hear some random beeps. Basically it is one beep, followed by 3 quick beeps (if that makes sense). i.e. 1 - 1, 2, 3. I have checked everything and cannot figure out what the car is trying to tell me. It has done it while driving, or shortly after I start the car (but have yet to put it in gear).

Any suggestions?

Check your clock memo....if it's on it will beep at the top of every hour............Phil

This drove me nuts for a week until I read the manual to figure out how to turn it off.

iMenu > Display Settings > Time > uncheck "Hour Memo"

Wow, I thought I was a smart guy, but this is the third time this car has out smarted me.

I feel like that is the most unnecessary setting ever built into a car…. At least it doesn't beep for the number of hours like its a church bell.

Off thread topic, I know, but your M3 is stunning!!!!!!

Made me smile you guys looking for the hour memo, had the same issue but worked out what it was fairly quickly, ie it coincided with a time signal on the radio station I was listening to, I now leave the feature on as it comes in handy at times and knowing what it is, is no longer intrusive.
I have to say that this car (and many others I suppose) have features built into that people have no idea of, especially when you look at the threads 'What I have learnt about my car since I bought it'. It seems madness that the manufacturers do not make it easy for people to identify and read these features, and mostly being men we never read instruction books/ manuals, but women fair no better !! lol
