Can only say good things about the F01

So, yesterday's mail contained a survey package from J.D.Power wanting to know about my experiences with my `11 MSport 750ix. The survey was specific enough in this connection to want my opinion nothwithstanding that I sold this car in July 2012. Well, to the point, based on the survey questions about maintenance issues, reliability, engineering, comfort, appearance, tires, and BMW service, I could only and honestly provide superlative responses based on my experiences. I've said it before here, and I mean it, I've had great experiences with all of the BMWs I've owned and the 7, by far, was the best of them.

Beautiful! I too loved my last 7 Series ('12 AH7). While I've had 4-5 awful BMWs, I've also had 10-12 amazing ones! We've had 20+ Mercedes, some amazing, some awful....but I always, always gravitate towards BMW. They have always just spoken to me!

.I did it one once, it actually took quite a while....almost 30 min...the questions never stopped. I just couldn't justify why i should ever again spend so much of my time for their purposes, for them to make money, when i could easily charge anyone $500/ (or more) for a half hour of my time. i cant say i have loyalty to my car to help promote it, i'm paying for it, not receiving compensation....it helps future buyers, but considering JDPower must make profits ( i know their parent company makes billions), why should i be an "unpaid intern", lol i did that for years a long time ago, i put in my time....perhaps I'm just too business orientated or apathetic, but either way i found a 30 min question form unreasonable for $5.....

Sometimes helping out is its own reward. I enjoyed providing my feedback particularly since I so enjoyed the 7; however, if it were the other way around (the 7 sucked and I hated it) I probably would have done the same...but that's me. I know when I am considering a big purchase, like a vehicle, I prefer gaining useful knowledge regarding product opinions and experience from various sources such as forums like this, trade publications, and polling like J.D. Power.

Absolutely....but we are not talking about helping out a starving beggar...a homeless child. We are talking about helping out a company that is profiting mega money off it....now, i kind of have a problem with it......if you dont mind helping out companies, send me your contact info, and i'll give you my company bank account info so you can wire us some funds!

Ha, Ha! By "helping out" with the survey, I'm referring to other folks like me...enthusiasts. But, of course, you knew that; you just wanted to have a small joke at my expense. It never ceases to amaze me how some people just love living up to the stereotype...

I ignored the survey until they sent me a reminder letter with a one dollar bill inside. I found it cute so I took the time to answer all of the questions. I rely on their ratings sometimes so I figured the least I could do was contribute. It gave me the opportunity to complain about a few things that will hopefully be revised in future BMW's. But like the OP, my comments were mostly compliments.

Well i'm not sure what "stereotype" you are referring to or towards me, but a little fun shouldn't create any hostility by any means. We have different opinions and that's ok, but certainly I meant no disrespect to you anyone else for that matter.

I still love my F02 after all the issues I've had with it from the multiple drivetrain issues to having to replace the tires because of the awful run flats. I'd give BMW and the dealership (Riverside BMW CA) high ratings for customer satisfaction, I've been treated by their service department like I own the dealership - just a superlative experience. I will continue to buy BMWs, and from the same dealership.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said for my Chrysler. It's met all my expectations, the quality is very good, it's been bulletproof reliable, and if it had a BMW roundel on it, it'd be at least 25k more expensive. But the dealer network is awful, I've tried 4 different dealers around me, and I'll never buy another domestic again

I also have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe Z71 and a 2000 Chevy Silverado, like my Chrysler have been completely bulletproof, but the dealership network - rather whats left of it, is terrible.

Water under the bridge. Perhaps I misunderstood the "send a check" remark.
