Anyone Done Aftermarket Alcantara Headliner?

I'm shopping for a 750i Sport but I really really want a black alcantara headliner. I've realized that's not going to happen unless I find a used 760 headliner. So...

Anyone ever had an upholstery shop re-do a standard grey headliner in black alcantara? What's the price range and most importantly, how likely will it look OEM?

any competent upholstery shop could do this for you. Price would be $600-1000 range.

You would probably need to provide detailed pictures to get an accurate duplication of the factory headliner design. As far as I know they only offered the factory headliner in grey and beige, not black. The Alcantara they used was an extremely close replica of actual suede, more so than whats used in the M cars of the same era and the current F cars.

$4k for the 5? May as well save that for the valve seals & have a running car. Just IMO.

I did mine not too long ago, black aftermarket suede,it looks close to alcantara, google black suede if stretchable the better,as i had bought the non stretchable fabric, the upholstery guy had to stitch the handles since they deep for the fabric, you will love the look after is done,he charged me 160 since i pulled out the headliner out the car, good luck

The guy who did a panoramic roof on here to his 7 told me 2200 for a glass roof that opens.
Or 1000 for complete headliner pillars and shades.

I really want to do my headliner black soon!!
