Haste makes waste. Yep, I lost my gas cap.

First, the lanyard broke a while ago. So, recently, after filling, I forgot to engage the gas cap. Yes, it's gone, somewhere in the city of Houston. Now, eBay wants about $30 for a used replacement. It's a game now. I think I can get it cheaper. The eBay junk yard refused an offer of $25. Any suggestion?

Thanks. I've seen similar price. With shipping and tax, it's over $30. My crumbled up walmart plastic bag is free. I don't call that cheap. It's ingenuity.

I've actually been thinking about replacing mine because the tether broke. Here's one on eBay for $24.89, shipping and all:

$24.50 from your link.

Eventual cost is about the same from all merchants, with tax and shipping to where I live, $25-$28.

I'm getting $21.50. They're selling the cap for $16 and then shipping is $5.50

BTW, shipping for orders over $100 is free, so if you need other BMW parts anyway that's also worth considering
