Saved a Z3's life?

I bought a 2002 Z3 in May from a man whose wife was having her 5th child. Can you guess why he was selling? Anyway, the car was from Amityville, NY, Long Island and the house was directly on the water. I know he was sad to see the car go but we like to think we may have saved it's life because of the storm surge from Sandy.

Love the car and glad its safe at home in my garage!
