idling problem

please help!

Ok sorry about that and I'm wondering why it's idling weird and how to fix it

It kinda sounds like it is idling rough. Any check engine light? And are you sure the check engine bulb is working?

I will check but I'm pretty sure it is , any suggestions to try ?

To see if the CEL is working? Turn the key to the third position (right before the starter) and the CEL should light up, along with the oil pressure light and others.

Ok, then you'll need to remove the cluster and replace the bulb.

I don't see or hear anything wrong. Sounds just like a BMW 4-cylinder with an aftermarket exhaust.

Ok thanks zegerman , and I will do that tomorrow as soon as I get a new bulb , what could be causing the weird idling then ? After market exhaust?

What is weird about your idling? Looks normal to me. Seems like you just revved it, and then the idle settled down at the correct speed as it should.

This^. It idles exactly like my 318.

i reved it up then it sits at 1000 for a little and slowly makes its way to 500 ish

I think what you are experiencing is normal, and it looks as though your engine was not fully up to operating temperature either, which will cause the revs to hang a little bit.
