New to the forum, and here's my new car

Hi everybody,
So as the title indicates, I'm new in this forum, while it's not my first BMW, it's the third actually.. And I never get enough of them.
So, last month I traded in my old 2007 530i BMW for a brand new 2012 Mineral White 730i (yup, they sell it in Israel). I really like the car and it's by far the best BMW I've owned. I know it's not a 740 nor a 750 but I like it!

Whats the displacement and the output of the engine?

If I'm not mistaken I think it's the same as the E60's 3.0L engine: 3.0 L (2979 cc) I6, 190 kW (258 PS; 255 hp)

Welcome Avi. I was in Israel in August and haven't seen even one 7…..

Those cars are pretty expensive here in Israel so there aren't much many of them, I talk about MB S-Class, BMW 7 series etc.
But there's a few. Because of the high prices many prefer importing those luxury cars themselves instead of buying it directly from the dealership, and most of those imports are S-Class. The price in Israel for 7 series or an S-Class starts from about 135k$ for a pretty un equipped 730i/S350. I bought mine from the dealership with some extra options.

Yeah, Maybe I will get rid of them...

Just curious. 7 series are pretty expensive here as well. I paid nearly 200k USD. And we don't get many tech options either(though we get all the luxury stuff-who the heck needs a fridge between rear seats-). (I didn't even have BT or Navi) What options do you have?

I have lane departure warning, BT, Nav, black headliner, surround view, automatic shades for rear windows, ipod connectivity, hi fi sound system, soft close doors and few other things I don't remember.. So I ended up with a 180k$ price tag...

730i is the entry level model for F01 series and it is not available in some markets.As an entry level model,it sounds normal to have many options as extras.On the other side it sounds normal too,a 760 Li to be equipped with too many options as standard (f.e. comfort seats,soft close doors,dynamic drive are standard here...)!

p.s.
In the financial destroyed Greece ,the 740i (entry level gasoline model) costs about 130000 euros.If you want,"dynamic drive","soft close doors","comfort seats","heating seats" you have to pay more.Navi is standard,bluetooth and usb preparation is standard too.The car comes with 18" rims...
750i costs 155000 euros.
760 Li and Alpina B7 are not available here...

We get the standard euro package plus a few extras here. (e.g. electric curtains etc.) Most common 7 is actually 730d not 730i here. And starting this model year BMW will no longer offer gasoline 7s. Only options available will be 730xd, 730Ld and 740d. And prices will begin at 230k Euros (near 300k USD) without options.

So it's a crime to be an F01 series owner in Turkey...
I thought this was only a "Greek privilege"...

Jeez. Crazy how these cars have to be shipped all the way to the other side of the world for us Americans and are still so much cheaper here.

Europe "operates" in a different way...

Actually,I have another car for daily usage...

Although Greece is a small country and there are not too many highways here,740i can give you a big driving pleasure and safety feeling even at country roads.This weekend I drove in such roads for more than 100km,visited some traditional villages at ~1000m altitude."Active steering","dynamic drive",gearbox at "DS" on "manualy" and suspension at "sport" gave me the feeling that I drive a 4-4,5m length sporty car (something like Golf GTi).
My family and (especially) I,enjoyed this trip...

Is your car the Graphite II grey color? Mine should be arriving in 2-3 weeks if it is the same! Gorgeous from your signature pix.

That's what BMW's do best... Nothing else comes close to the feeling of driving a BMW. It's always sharp, vivd, responsive.. You just can't get enough. I also own a 2009 cadillac CTS with the 3.6l engine 307hp, to be honest it's a good car, but if I compare it to my old 5 series the CTS feels like crap.
I also drove a MB S350, and still I like my 730i better.
