no cluster after battery install

okay i have been messing with this for about a week now. 2004 530i had a dead battery we jumped it and all the gauges ,power doors and locks worked until the car started. replaced battery now have no power windows,doors,cluster,ac .. but radio turns on and won't turn off even with key out.

Was the battery replaced by BMW? Was it registered to the car after installation? If not, there are several threads about problems of this kind after do-it-yourself battery installation that may be of help.

no it was not installed by bmw, i installed it. the cluster worked on the dead battery if had jumper cables hooked up. now with the new battery it only starts. i had searched for a cuouple hours on the other "threads" and found nothing towards a resolution

What kind of battery did you replaced it with? Same cold cranking amp or bigger?
If you put anything smaller the computer will turn off electronics.

Was the old battery tested and found to be bad. Sounds more like a bad IBS then battery. I would have the car scopes for faults.

^ I concur with the above post.
For this kind of problem, rather than guessing and replacing parts, I'd pay the diagnostic fee and let a competent mechanic/dealer find the root cause of the problem.
