Why the 2 week hold on PCD vehicles?
Is it just to get them over from the factory to the PDC and do the PDI?
Do they get a complete detail as well? Phil |

For SC built vehicles, the 2 week window is the amount of time it will take to safely get the vehicle out of the factory, released to distribution, scheduled for a truck to ship it to our facility, scheduled into our shop to have the PDI done and then to be fully detailed prior to delivery. The PDI time has some additional time factored in to address any issues found prior to delivery. We don't want to call the customer 3 days prior to their delivery to inform them their vehicle is not going to be ready and they will need to reschedule. The 6 week window is determined due to how long the vehicles can be held at each facility. Due to space, legal and liability issues, the distribution center can only hold the vehicle for 4 weeks, and we are only allowed to hold the vehicle on our property for 2 weeks. Hope that helps explain the guidelines given for the SC built models.

What kind of BMW is your car? X3,X5,X6 are built in SC. All others are built, well, not in SC.

F30 will most likely be built in Germany. South Africa used to build 3 series as well....don't know about now
Have you considered Euro delivery? You can combine that with PCD. No extra charge...in fact, a saving

I have, but it may not make so much sense after buying 2 round trip tickets. How much do you reckon you saved with ED?

Edit: Airfares are more expensive in the summer. It's cheaper if you go in the spring or fall. Or winter.
