Transmission Jolts
I am back with another Transmission issue
. When I start the car in cold and put the gear in D (drive), the car Jolts as if it wants to just take off like a plane even my foot is firm on the brake pedal. At this stage, the car is idling much higher since it is cold nearly 1500rpm (when it is not cold it sits somewhere around 650-700rpm). Once the engine warms up, this does not occurs during the day. Is this electrical or mechanical issues. Has anyone experienced this issue and know what is the solution.I am very paranoid on transmission issues on vehicles and don't want to take any chance on it. Any suggestions are welcome. |

That's normal. It's taking off like a plane because the car is giving itself more throttle than usual. That extra throttle that makes it rev at almost 1500rpm when in park or neutral is now turning the wheels when you go into drive. That'd be why it stops when the engine warms up.
