New Member - ED advice

Received my 535 pick up date today . Ready to get all this planning in the book and locked down. My trip is built around picking my daughter up from her study abroad in Florence.

April 20,21 Munich
April 22 Pick up
April 23, 24 Salzburg
April 25, 26 Cortina
April 27, 28,29 Florence
April 30, May 1 Como
May 2,3 Monaco, Nice

I travel a lot in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. I was also in Italy just two years ago. It seems like an aggressive schedule but I think its doable. I picked some decent hotels and reviewed the forums for suggestions. You can never have too many opinions. Any suggestions?

It is aggressive, but doable and seems you have to work it around your daughter's pick up in Florence, spending 3 days there gives you a good breather. One option you may want to consider is doing RT and dropoff at Munich, perhaps doing a Switzerland stop on the way back, may be closer to Como than Nice, but that is just me, having been to Monaco and Nice personally feel these are snobby and overrated places. Plus the car will likely take less time to return to the US. Good luck.

Try to avoid get to Nice during rush hours - nightmare. Take me 1.5 hrs from HWY exit to hotel near port ( about 10 mls).

My thought as well. This is not aggressive, although it might be a bit much. I would think about going from Como back to Munich or to Zurich for drop-off (with a stop/stay in Luzern, for example).
