OK. So I'm an hour late.

Delivery at 10:30 this morning. Then we had lunch and visited the museum. Drove through the Black Forest to Strasbourg, France. About 250 miles.

Imperial Blue and Mocha Brown Nappa was a great choice. Ordered with dark wood, but was built with Palladium Gray trim by mistake. Dealer will make it right. It looks better than I tho, but still don't like it. The B&O Audio is very good, I like HUD (never had it before), the new nav system and touch control is quite improved, there are also more options in the menus, including power and torque displays

Nice surprises: The exhaust note (it has one), it has more responsive steering and throttle. and the suspension feels tighter (comfort feels like sport on my 2011). Overall a much sportier feel.

Not so nice: I got ventilated seats, but the rear seats were not perforated (my last 2 550's had ventilated seats and the rears were perf'd). No rear seat A/C controls (my 2011 had them as a stand alone option which wasn't listed this year I figured they were just included as all press pictures showed it) and no fog lights (previous M-Sports had them). Same crap Goodyear RFT's.

Gorgeous car.... I'm looking pretty hard at the GT as my next car... That trim is "interesting" to say the least, that dark wood will look 110% better!! Thanks for the pics, even if you were an hour late

On a personal request, any chance for a pic of the rear hatch opened up?

Awesome avi!

I'm confused I thought they were integrating the side turn markers into the rear view mirrors and moving the chrome trim to the bottom of the lift gate. I actually prefer the look of the european side markers and the lack of chrome trim on yours...except the "button" roundel on the rear. How obvious is it in person?

Really like the M steering wheel, looks super sharp and that mocha interior is fantastic. Enjoy, keep feeding us photos so we can live vicariously through you!

The chrome trim is with the Luxury and Modern lines. There's an additional piece on the front that goes across the top and side of the left/right vents to meet the piece that cuts across the middle. The SE has just the middle piece and the M Sport apparently nothing at all.

I hope they change the trim for you. The same thing happened to me on a performance center delivery. When I called my dealer they said they would make it right but when I got the car home he forgot that conversation. I ended up having to go to BMW NA to get the dealer to do the right thing.

Pretty car. It's an MSport, right? Isn't there also supposed to be an M dead pedal as well? Maybe just on the non GT 5's?

Yes. M-Sport. No M-dead pedal on GT's. No paddle shifters either, even though I got the Sport Auto.

M-Sport deletes the chrome across the tail gate.

Does have turn signals in the mirrors. Its just a chrome emblem where the old marker light was.

new large roundel on the rear is not as obnoxious as it looks in the press pictures

Great looking car and color combo. I thought about getting one and would have gotten very similar options and color choices. These are the first real life pics I've seen of the F07 LCI. How different does the car look/feel in sheet metal compared to the pre-LCI?

Yes. It has the luxury seating pkg. but it looks the same as without - only difference is the perforations for the ventilated seats (in front)

This one is ordered very similar to the 2011 F07 I have. There was no M-Sport at the time, only a "sport" package. Still, it had 20" wheels and dynamic handling. This time I have HUD. LED headlights, and a B&O stereo upgrade.

Other than the LCI changes that have been noted in press releases. The car feels firmer and more responsive for sure. I have not really had a chance to open it up yet as I'm still in break -in mode. But will get a chance to open it up before drop off in a week or so.

The electronics work better, the touchpad on the nav works great and fast. Bluetooth integration with my iPhone 5 give some more control from the iDrive, you can now select playlists.

Do you know if the F07 M sport gets sport suspension if you get the M line but not DHP? What do you get in 7MP "Sports Package" anyway?

Not sure. I ordered 'ZDH' which is the dynamic handling package on this one any my previous. The build sheet from bmwvin.com says it has Sports Pkg 7MP and 2VA Adaptive Drive. I have no idea how that varies from other lines. My 2011 did not have have 7MP. The 2014 definitely handles better. The exhaust is certainly different as well.

Blue & Brown are a great colour combo. The Mocha interior looks a bit more orangey brown than most pics I've seen. Internet pics seem to show it more dark chocolate.

Looks great none-the-less

BMW glamour shots are highly processed. Some colors are harder than others for cameras to get right. Cinnamon was notoriously different in person. I prefer the color shown here versus the more chocolate of the BMW announcement photos.

Some of you asked for some more interior shots, I finally got some time to do it. At Gothard Pass in the Swiss Alps. Too bad it was an overcast day

I really dislike the Palladium Gray trim, it was supposed to be Dark Wood. My CA now has written confirmation from BMW NA that they will make it right before re-delivery

Nice,

From those shots you can barely tell you have ventilated seats.

Nice pictures - I wanted that Terra Cotta interior myself.

At least you have vents for the rear passengers located behind the center armrest console...

My upcoming ED won't have a single vent...
