My house driveway, I live in Fort Worth Texas...I already filed a police report and called my insurance...but I'm still scratching my head as to the reason behind such a heinous act...I mean what is the car going to do...defend itself?

Jealousy, just because some people can't afford it.

+1 on the garage! I've had this happen to my Lexus. Same thing - a big rock right through the rear windshield

I'm so sorry to hear that brotha! It really sucks how low some people will sink when they're envious

Thanks for the kind words guys, I just found out that it was some girl who has a grudge against my daughter...so she decided to piss her off by doing something to my car...I told my daughter to just let it go...otherwise they will keep messing with it...I told her I will take care of it instead...anybody know where I can find a back window??...Thanks

I would start calling around to see if there are any in a salvage yard. I am sure you have already thought of this.

As matter of fact I have...I'm having it replaced today for under $400...so not bad...;-)..still not happy for what people are capable of, though.

I'd bait her. Tell her thanks and brag about how you needed a new windshield
and the insurance covered it. In the interim, install a hidden security camera.
More than likely, they will be dumb enough to return to do it again.

Gather video evidence..police call..-> juvenile detention.

It's funny isn't it, you could buy a brand new $50,000 pickup and people wouldn't take notice, nor give you these weird looks, but when you buy a used $20k BMW, the looks come out.

100% agree new760 .I have friends who have 60000$ trucks and question my 20k$ BMW.I guess in a small way I do like the emotion BMW evokes in me.But not jealousy.

When I first bought mine I got a ton of snide remarks from people at work.... one person even went as far as saying "why do you still have temp plates on your car is it hot" to save my job and keep myself out of prison I walked away... I also get the dirty looks now and again and some people act like you owe them something because you drive a nice car.. I just don't get it at work I park right where the security cameras can see it and at home it stays in the garage, taking no chances.

I do the same park where I can see it in the cameras. I actually got accused of doing personal business at work and not actually "putting in the time". But yet my dept's job performance is at an all time high. Really? It wasn't a concern before I bought my 7.. Jealousy is everywhere.

Some people are completely pathetic these days. Someone keyed mine at McDonalds the third day I got it.. How can people even live with themselves after doing something like that? I am sorry to hear this happened to you along with any other owners that have expierenced this.

Sorry to hear that, don't let it bother you too much, just move on. I'm sure we have all experienced some sort of rage when ppl know or see what we drive.

Agree, people don't like facts or the truth (you sacrificed, saved and do a lot of your own maintenance) because it interferes with the lies (that you're rich and showing off) that they want to believe.
