The dealer offer expended warranty for $2700, 5 years 60000 miles. Do you think is it a good idea?

No. Over 60k mi maybe.

Which engine?

Why isn't it still w/original owner?

Did you do a pre-purchase inspection + carfax + dealer record check?

Wow, talk about a garage queen ...... that could be a good find.

Get your local BMW dealer to read the key fob and tell you the service history.

I did. No issue with service or anything. Garage queen and it was a nanny car....

328i so the only issue i am worry about is the top

The car is more than 4 years old so no original warranty. Car fax + inspection + record is clean

Hey miwim...contact Daniel@PacificBMW. He is a forum sponsor, and gave me a really nice quote on a BMW exteneded waranty for my '09 328i. Although you are looking at an 08, maybe he still has an option that would suit your needs. Good Luck.

Looks good. Depends on what the extended warranty covers whether it's a good deal. Is that 5 yrs/60k miles from inception? If it covers the convertible top mechanicals it's a pretty good deal. I got a 5 yr/72k mile warranty, from inception for $2,400 on my '06 330i, not a 'vert, of course. My warranty is virtually bumper to bumper and even covers some wear and tear components.
