An old friend came up tonight, and we went out for some dinner. I had decided to go to the Old Mill Tavern in Chester. On the ride up Rt. 517 through Tewksbury, police were directing traffic through that heavily-wooded section going up the hill, letting a group of cars go one direction, then the other. There were about 25 utility trucks with crews working the stretch leading up to the S-turn near the top of the hill. Still no power for many in the Califon area....two weeks is a long time....

Great little place....been there since 1936. Good food, big (8 oz.) burgers sourced from the in-town butcher, and 28 beers on tap (the Pilsner Urquell and Newcastle Brown Ale were my choices last night )

Tony`s Bistro, a few miles down the road in Califon, is excellent too....they make a Seafood Fra Diablo that really kicks ass....

28 beers? Could be the spot for our next meetup.

Powers back on. I cranked the heat up.
