What leak is this?

So I woke up to a nasty leak. I believe it is my windshield fluid again. This same thing happened last winter. Just want to get your guys take on it and make sure it is not antifreeze. This picture is passenger side front.

Check your wiper pump or pumps (if you have head light washers) as mine leaked around the seal where they go into the tank. Had to order a couple off the web. Doesn't look like coolant as the expansion tank is on the Driverside.

That's kind of what I figured. When I had a wreck last year and hit a truck tire it actually broke my wiper lid and pushed it completely back in. I'm wondering that's what's causing it again. BMW collision center fixed it so it will be going back there

Is it getting cold out? What was the overnight temp the night before you found the leak?

I live in CA but experienced a freak 22degF morning a couple years ago. The windshield pump broke at the internal seals, and fluid was coming out of the weep hole.

Fluid leaks in the engine bay can travel across the plastic splash shield and the subframe reinforcement plate/brace. My leaking windshield washer pump dribbled fluid onto the garage floor at both front tires.

Well it started with a leak an now my key fob won't unlock the doors. Time to crawl through the trunk and see what's going on hoping for no dead battery. Can you jump from the back? I always have jumped my car from the front

Can't you unlock the car manually from the driver's door?

Sure car can be jumped from the trunk. Uncover battery and put clamps on both battery terminals.

Fix door lock. Let one thing go and then another is way to watch car go down.

Well I jumped my car yesterday had no issues since then minus this leak. I pulled the wiper fluid tank out no cracks but is coming out of the right back pump? I'm unsure of what that piece is called. Rubber black ring under pump looks good and no cracks in the actual pump that I can see. I have noticed my headlight washer pumps have not been kicking on since this leak started. any ideas an has anyone had this issue? I do notice the fluid leaking onto a black cord which worries me as well.

Typ0ically the pump leaks from the gasket or the pump. Replace both is relatively cheap.

#5 is called Strainer

Is number five rubber gasket? If not then that piece is missing and I do not even have piece 7. Hmmm

Part No. 5 is a combination rubber grommet and strainer. Only the grommet is visible when it and the pump are installed in the tank.

Part No. 7 is a heat shield. If you don't have one, consider installing a new one when you replace the pump and the grommet/strainer.

I was totally unaware that there was a heat shield for this. Sweet.

Where did you find that diagram? I usually order from bavauto.com or Ed tuning but cannot find those parts listed.
