side light replacement!

i recently had one of my side lights stolen. i ordered a new set to make them look even. they came with sockets. i installed the bulbs which were single filiment bulbs. i know the original socket was a dual fuliment. now the check side light is on the dash led display. the lights work fine as far as running lights turn signals. however they dont come on with the headlights, i dont have an issue with the function just the check side lights display. there must be a wiring fix for this issue. does anyone know?

Did you ever fix the Check Side Lights warning on your display? I am dealing with an identical situation as yours. I have a 2000 BMW Model 740iL. I recently purchased and installed replacement angel eye headlights (99-01 E38, dual halo projector) that came with integral side lights (the sidelight and headlight housings are all one piece). My original sidelights contained dual filament bulbs for parking lights and turn signals inserted into dual filament sockets with three lead pigtails. The replacement sidelights have single filament bulbs and sockets, and two lead pigtails with male connectors that are compatible with the existing female connectors on the car. Both parking lights and turn signals function correctly, but there is always an error message on my dashboard screen that says "CHECK SIDE LIGHTS". Unfortunately, the original dual filament bulb sockets are not compatible with the replacement sidelight housings, so they cannot be used. The replacement sockets are an "insert and twist" type, and the originals are a "pinch diametrically opposing clips" type. My questions is are follows. 1. Is there a dual filament "insert and twist" type socket available that would be compatible with the 99-01, E38 replacement integral sidelight housing? 2. Is there another way, such as a wiring adjustment, to stop the message from appearing on my dash screen? I've searched the web and found numerous discussions on related issues, but none of them fit my situation. Thanks for any response you may provide.

You need a dual filament socket. I believe there is no other way.

Thank you. That's what I thought.
