I am signing for an 2012 X5d lease I just wanted to get your opinions on the deal
The car has Navigation, Cold Weather, Running Boards Alpine White on Black Nevada Leather

MSRP: 60,545
Invoice: 56,203
Selling price is 500 less invoice and then $8250 in incentives
Selling Price: 47,453

MF: .00125
Residual: 54%

Additionally I received an email that takes $10 off payment thus the deal is below:


Monthly Payment:$562
Due at Signing: $1905

What are the incentives you got? I am in the market for a new one as my current X5d might be totalled due to the storm.

Hey I used the following incentives:
4500 ecco
1500 holiday
1000 grad
750 loyalty
500 app

If your car was totaled because of hurricane sandy BMW is doubling the loyalty from 750 to 1500 as per my dealer.

Interesting. You DO know that insurance should pay the sales tax AND licensing fees for the replacement car, right? AFTER you come to an agreement on the value of the car, THEN you add on tax and title/license costs to their number. Remember, bring this up AFTER... not until they send you a number based on 'the value of the car'....

How many miles/months old is your car?

IMO. you should use 10 years 120k miles to come up with your out of pocket costs....

Thanks ard. Yes, I will follow up to make sure license and tax is paid as well. I am hoping they pay for hitch as well which is another $700. The X5 is a 2012 model which I got in Jan and it has around 10,000 miles.

I will post the VIN once I get confirmation that the vehicle is totalled.

They really need to make you close to whole...if they try and screw you, your position must be "buy me a 2012 for the $___ you are offering"...IMO there will very limited to non-existent 'comps' demand that they show you where they are getting their numbers.

I'd say you've used "10%" of the car, so to get into a brand new 2012 - with a hitch, etc, etc, should cost you 10% or ~6k...or less. (Can you take the hitch off the old one?)

This is a awsome deal! I just ordered a 2012 X5d and could only get the dealer to come down $9500 off MSRP.

You appear to have gotten what most of us on here also have been able to get. The OP is LEASING/renting rather than BUYING/purchasing and that apparently gives him the additional $1,500 in holiday cash that is not available for purchases. He also stated that he is getting the $1K graduation discount so that is something most of us also can not benefit from (I haven't been to school in over 25 years! LOL). I had originally thought that the graduation discount could not be used if someone had previously financed a BMW (The OP has a 2011 335i w/10K miles he is currently leasing) but it may be the case that the only thing needed is the graduation paperwork regardless of the prior financing(?)
