New addition to the family.

As some of you know we have a 2009 BMW 328i Coupe, and also had a 2004 BMW X3 2.5i. Sadly she didn't want to start up. After 15 minutes of trying she finally started up.

So that day (Friday Dec. 7th) we went to Performance BMW in Chapel Hill, NC, and we got a new 2012 BMW X5 35d.

It has Sport Activity with 20", Multi Contour Seats with Cinnamon Brown Nevada Leather, Black Sapphire Metallic, Premium, Navigation, and BMW Apps.

So far we are in love. With getting the Eco Credit - 4500, Loyalty Incentive - 750, and Holiday Incentive - 1500. It couldn't have worked out better.

Only thing we would have added if we built it. Would be soft close doors, and Sirius satellite radio.

When I get a chance I will post pictures. Hoping tomorrow the weather will be decent enough to take some nice ones.

This is our first X5, and also our first diesel.

welcome and you will not be disappointed
I test drove X5 Diesel before 335d. I was super amazed for its agility. I never expected such a response from heavy SUV. I used to think all SUVs more or less drive like my old CRv.

Congratulations on your first oil burner! Enjoy the torque especially when climbing hills and mountains. We went to Colorado this summer and the 335D devoured the mountain passes.

Thanks, and so far no disappointments. I don't think there will be any to be honest. It has almost everything we would want if we built it so that helps.

It is very agile in traffic. We can easily put it where we want it, and passing a car is so easy. Some reviewers said that the higher speed HP wasn't enough, but I STRONGLY disagree on them.

Thanks.

Oh there will be pics. I work nights, and work out of town every week. Only Friday - Sundays off so difficult to get sunlight. Last time I saw daylight was when we bought the car on the 7th. No joke. I will be taking pictures this weekend since I will have time off for the Holidays.

Welcome and congrats! Im surprised yours didn't come equipped with satellite radio. Figured that was pretty much standard on these??

Sirius is prewired/installed on 2012's. You need a code to activate the subscription that you can buy from the dealer or have these guys code it for you http://www.bimmer-tech.net/shop/bmw-...radio-retrofit
