Need left and right headlight assembly

A stone recently smashed a headlight. I am keen to buy both left and right headlight assembly for my otherwise immaculate 1983 5281 sedan.

What I mean (I am not taking up thread time) is that the buckets in the U.S. are different. You have the unsealed beams and your high beam is smaller then your low beam. In the U.S. both head lights are the same size and they are sealed. So as I was saying I can help you if you want to switch your car to the American style. I have 2 sets of good head light buckets.

I've dealt with a good BMW wrecker in WA. He seems quite good to deal with, he posts items very quickly.
He's currently got head lights for our model. Maybe hit him up and see if you can get a good price.

Why not just replace the broken light, you'll find them easier to source?

Stay away from US h/lights (as mentioned earlier).

Thanks for that info. One lens is pitted and the other smashed, so I do need both replaced, otherwise I would just do the globes. BMW is quoting an unreasonable $450 EACH.
