Logic 7 Amp blown already???

Well, I have a muffled bass when my music is playing, and from my research it seems as though I have the infamous Logic 7 amp blowing up concern.

Anyways,

I called my friend who is the service director at BMW of The Mainline, and he tells me they won't cover it under CPO.

I called a few other dealers as well and they all day it wouldn't be covered.

I saw a few people on here got it covered under their CPO. I called the dealership I bought it from and they are going to get back to me on what they can do for me if anything. I just bought the vehicle only 3 weeks ago, so I'm hoping they will.

However, with this being as big of a concern with the vehicle I'm assuming that even if I got it covered there would still be problems with it down the road anyway. I'm a bit of an audiophile and I like clean well sounding music, but the reliability here might be in question. What have other people done to correct or fix this.

Any advice as well on what I can do to try and get this covered? I hear some people have gotten estimates of $1,400.00.

There is a guy in the stickes who fixes them. He charges around $280 I think.. there is also a DIY from Paper in the DIY section to repair yourself.. I am sure that fix solves the issue so you would probably be good..

Sigh.... The L7 amp has been discussed so many times i can't even keep up anymore, did you search?? You cannot replace L7 with an aftermarket amp, email ilya, have him repair your amp for $320 it will come back more powerful than it was stock and he provides a warranty. Problem solved.

Yes I have researched that

Some say you can ADD an amp, and not replace it

Others say it won't work

Some say delete the amp and ordered a fiber optic adapter.

I did research, just there is SO much out there that it is very hard to keep up

If you remove the L7 amp your navigation, phone, radio and pdc wont work, but if you wanna add an aftermarket amp to work alongside L7 you can do that, with the aftermarket amp you can power your floor subs, or even a box in the trunk, to easily connect that amp to your car you can get a harness from a member on here called Technic, which helps you get audio inputs from L7 into your aftermarket amp, so you dont have to cut any wires.

I'd like to hear this too, anyone had problems after repair. The dealer I bought it from is still dragging their feet, but I'm assuming I'll have too seek another option down the road even if they do fix it as I bet it will blow up again

Hey guys, Im new to the forum, although I have been on here many times, the amount of info that I have been able to find on here is incredible.

Anyway down to the nitty gritty. I have an 06 750Li and have the Infamous L7 Amp issue. I've read all the threads and DIY pages but im a bit confused and was hoping someone could clarify.

I have all the tools needed to fix this bad boy minus the parts, Im confused as to which parts I actually need as I have seen several part numbers floating about.

Can someone provide a parts list of Transistors that I need to order so I can fix this amp please.

This is what I have found:

KT3107- is this for the amp fan?

TDA8563 & TDA8564 - I have seen both of these referred to as the transistor that controls the rear door speakers. Which one actually is it?

TDA4562 & TDA1562 - I have seen both of these referred to as the transistor that controls the under the seat subs. Which one actually is it?

Center Speaker - Im not sure what the transistor part number is for this one.

and are there any other parts I should swap while at it?

King, thank you I appreciate your response. I see what you were saying I must have missed your one post I appreciate you clarifying this.

I wish I was electronically and mechanically knowledgable to do it myself I know I would screw it up. King, how long was the warranty that was offered?
