Z3 2.8 will not fire!
Any ideas. My '97 Z3 will not fire at all. The only code is PO 335 which is crankshaft position sensor. This is a 2.8L engine and I have replaced both the crankshaft and camshaft sensors. It only has one camshaft sensor. It does not even try to start and the tach does not move when it turns over. Any help would be good. thanks, ic

lack of fire
I found the problem. There was a chewed/ broken wire from the crankshaft position sensor. I just bought this car and found a rat's nest in the right wheel well. The mouse had chewed this wire and I probably broke it when I installed the camshaft position sensor. It was under the center of the intake. Took me days of looking for something that looked out of whack to find it. The broken wire was out of sight but I found it when I traced the cranshaft position sensor wire. Just got back from airing it out, man do I feel better. ic
