No compass in rear view mirror

I have a 2011 X5 which has an electronic compass in rear view mirror, but my 2013 F10 does not have it. Is that normal or I am missing something here.

So does the 3 series, both E90 and F30.

For one, I am so glad not to have it. I hate it. Think it's cheap, distracts me at night, etc.

Never really noticed it wasn't there in the F10. Oh, the X5 has it? I guess I never really paid attention to the compass.

when i think abt it, im glad that i dont have it either. love the clean look. some things in the car are meant to be kept traditional. traditional analog guages, mirror etc.

NAV is the right place for the compass.
