Why does my front windshiled defogger only blow hot?
I seem to be having an HVAC issue. My front windshield defogger only blows hot air, regardless of the temperature setting or whether or not the A/C is on. Anybody else ever deal with this?

HOT is the default position because that`s exactly what`s needed to de-fog (or de-ice) a windshield. Having the A/C on doesn`t make it colder, it just pulls more moisture from the air, assisting the defogging process.

OK, so this is normal? I'm used to being able to adjust the temperature on the defogger as on every other vehicle I've owned. Interesting...

It is normal... Another thing these cars do, with regard to defrost, is when your wipers are on there is a steady flow of warm air from the defrost vents at the base of the windshield to keep it clear of fog.
