Question Need help with my 525i

So here's my situation, I recently bought a '90 525i. When I bought it the car drove fine but idled pretty rough (once stalling itself). The timing belt was 20k past due so I figured I'd give it a shot. I got down to the timing belt and noticed the timing was advanced by one notch (I assumed this is what caused the idle issue). I then removed the head and did all the gasket work in that area. Put the cylinder head and everything back on, and when installing the new timing belt, I corrected the timing so the crankshaft and camshaft marks lined up perfectly. I put everything back together, and what's worse than not having enough bolts? Having some left over, and I got 2 left. I know these bolts go on the front of the engine (to something) but after looking at them I figured it wouldn't be too much of a problem. At this point my engine is completely reassembled. I start it up and it idles a lot better, as I figured it would. I have two problems, there's a faint ticking noise (can only hear it with the hood open), this is obviously due to my missing bolts. Secondly, and more importantly, it bogs down a lot when throttle is applied. The car drives fine once you get past the hesitation.

Like this:
Idle - 600 RPM
Apply half throttle - 300 RPM
About 1-2 seconds later - normal RPM acceleration

My ideas:
Air mass sensor
Throttle position sensor
Fuel pressure regulator
Vacuum line

Please let me know what you think!

Everything right with the valvetrain?
Was it doing this before?

See if fuel is squirting out of your FPR vaccuum hose.

Post pictures of those extra bolts. Lets ID them and make sure they are not mission critical.

Goto and trace the bolts from the cylinder head diagrams.
