Key remote not working

I got a E61 04 530D, where my remote has been bad for some time (diamond type), had to hold it close to the antenna in the spoiler to unlock/lock. Now it has stopped working completely, and I have done some searching and troubbleshooting. I have changed battery to a new rechargeable 3V, but wouldn't work. I have tried checking the diversity amp thing inside the spoiler since I've read some posts of people getting moisture in here. Mine was dry though, no corrosion on the board, so I'vre ruled out that.

But, I've measured the battery I took out, and it was 1.68V, the new one was now 2.56V. And that one has been in a while, and have driven quite long with it. So I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the charging? Anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

Some have mentioned in another thread that the diversity antenna runs through the tailgate hinge, and is prone to breaking at that point. You may want to look at that

Yea, I've seen som posts on that now. Also makes sense. But it's only my central locking that does not work, so hopefully I only need to change the cable on the left (antenna + ground). Saw a diy with repair kit from SenCom, they also have a youtube channel with a video showing the rewiring.
