ARS option

What Up Guys,
I have the ARS (active roll stabilization) option on my 6, Anybody know much about this option? Might be in my head, but Does the car ride higher, sit higher? My cousin has a 6 without this option, and he wanted to drive my car to see if he felt a difference. He says my 6 with ARS feels more flat, and grounded . I havent got around to driving his to see if I notice anything...Just curious if anybody knows the difference between having it, and not having it, as far as ride, handling, ride height...
Thanks

I don't think it does anything for ride height, but the active tension bars counter the tendency of the car to "roll" during cornering thus keeping the car flatter. I've driven 6ers without it, and they don't feel quite as tight and composed as mine with ARS. I think it's a must if you want the car for semi-serious to aggressive driving. There are some videos that explain it pretty well that are linked in some older threads in this forum. The 6er doesn't have as much roll as the X5/X6, 7er, etc. because of its comparatively low center of gravity, but I still think it's well worth the money.

I have months of experience with both ARS and no ARS.

Height is the same. The standard, while not terribly substantial, does roll more. I notice it most when I do an aggressive lane change at high speed. Car feels flatter with ARS for sure.

ARS will roll a bit, but not as much as a car with no ARS. I've taken some tight turns and felt the roll. However, if BMW figured a way to prove Sir Isaac Newton wrong and re-write the laws of physics, then this option would be priceless, not ~$3,000 lol.

I would definitely order it again.
