If Karl were smart, he would pay his share last, since the whole thing could go sour if a single person doesn't pay. It's a waste of his time if this happens, and in all likelihood he will cover the short if it's not too much, then sell the extra calendar(s) to cover his extra expense. If he had paid first (or anything other than last) he would not have this option of saving the project.

The evidence so far points to Karl being quite smart.

Jared, I think Karl knows well that I'm joking. There's rarely much we get to call him on, so I take every opportunity.

Oh, I know you guys are just messing with me. I know all of you too well to be shady. Due to the last minute nature of this calendar, everything had to be conducted in a fairly haphazard manner with regard to voting, image collection, money collection, etc., but you guys have been great in making things happen and being understanding. With next year's calendar, I'd like to get a lot more people to participate, and bring on a graphic designer, etc., and refine the process of image submission, voting, etc. So far, everything has been going pretty smoothly, and I expect it to stay that way.

I agree. I'm going to be doing the final image editing this weekend, and I'd like to have all the money in the pot ASAP. I'm going to Maui for a week beginning next Sunday, and I'd like to have the printers working on this while I'm out of town so I don't have to juggle all this stuff remotely while I'm on vacation.

I don't have access to anything until the Kickstarter goal is met.

This also means that you guys shouldn't be getting charged until then, too.

Karl, You're going down. Justice will be served.
Yikes! That's why you don't scam or piss off anonymous, resourceful, and nutty people on teh internets.

I meant to "accidentally" pay for an extra calendar. It's possible to adjust my pledge, but I'd rather make better use of a return address. Packages sent from Indianapolis usually contain water, barley, hops, and yeast.

I'm thinking we need to set a cutoff date and then go to the waiting list if the primaries haven't all paid up. It's not like it was surprise this was coming.
Do we have five on the wait list?
