Everyone did 'pay' Jared, the goal in Kickstarter was met. However there proved some issue with their payment.

They were mailed before the kickstarter deadline. The project was fully funded but some donors had their transactions declined. "something for nothing" is possible here. But so is the figurative ban hammer.

Yep, everyone submitted their payment, but Kickstarter didn't charge everyone's accounts until this Monday. When that happened, seven people had their cards/accounts declined for various reasons. That now leaves me with with the un-fun task of pestering people to update their method of payment.

That sucks Karl. Unfortunately you kind of defeated all the benefits of Kickstarter by mailing the calendars at before the payments all posted. if you start the Kickstarter earlier next year so that the payments post before you mail them it should be fine.

I think there are still some people who wanted a alendar the didn't get one that might be willing to pay pal you the money. If not, I'll chip some in too.

Sorry to hear about your son, Josh. Hospitals are not fun for kids (or parents).

I'll PM you some info about the calendar right now.

PS: Glad you like the calendar!

Yeah, I wasn't expecting Kickstarter to force me to wait until the project end date of 1/28 to before allowing me to shut down the funding period and collect the money. Pretty annoying that you can't just decide that you've got enough money and stop funding whenever you want. I took a risk and fronted the money since I didn't want you guys to get the calendars in March.

Anyway, the List of Doom is shrinking. Slowly:

- miles_trail
- Thee_Antic
- Mr Gusta
- JayDizzle92

Outstanding balance is down to $78.00. I've been able to contact everyone on the list except Thee_Antic. Not sure what to do about him. Perhaps I'll try to look him up on Facebook or something.

I dont know if im stupid or what.

All I get is a email saying that the transation failed

and it has 2 links

one to go to my amazon account

and one for customer service

paypal is so much easier lol

can someone who fixed their payment, chime in and help me out that would be great.

If it helps, Kickstarter is owned by Amazon, so instead of setting up payment methods you can pledge, then when it asks you how to pay it should offer a link to your Amazon account. If you link it, it will use your default Amazon payment method. Good luck.

Frank, Jon is correct above. Kickstarter is owned by Amazon, and the entire money side of things is handled by Amazon Payments, which is why Kickstarter emailed you a link to Amazon Payments to resolve the failed transaction. All you have to do is click the Amazon Payments link, enter new payment info and submit it. Presto. Done. Again, the Amazon Payments link is the correct way to update your payment info.

If you can't figure it out, I can just have you PayPal me the money, but you shouldn't have any trouble using the Amazon link in the email Kickstarter provided you. A number of other folks have used it and it's worked fine for them. Keep me posted bud. Thanks!

I Set up a new card, and then it made me set up an account with them before I could send money, and now its saying.

Blargh. Okay, let me know once your info has been verified. Usually that sort of thing is just a matter of clicking a link in a confirmation email they send you.

Now just log back into Kick Starter and use your Amazon login as payment method. It'll go directly to Maui, I mean Karl. :-)

The email you received from Amazon is the correct email. Now that you're verified, does it give you the option to update your payment info and send it to me? If so, you should be able to submit your payment that way. If it doesn't give you any obvious recipient options, I'm going to email you my PayPal info right now and you can just send the money that way. Sorry this has been such a headache!
