James, your car looks great in that lighting. You could use some window tint, though.

Ken, your car looks really cool. I love the little strips of dead grass in front. It makes it look like your car is hiding in wait to pounce on some prey. The lighting seems to be sunset, and we all know my appreciation for sunset pics.

The depth of field is nice in this shot, too.

thanks :3

you're correct about it being a sunset shot. To do this one i slapped on my 85mm fixed Nikkor glass. It's a vintage f/1.8 lens with a huge lens area so it's perfect for getting nice crisp detailed shots with depth. I stood about 40 yards back and mounted the camera about 3 inches off the ground and shot the car in a 180' radius and this was the one i liked the most. it also required the least amount of editing

Jose, your car looks wonderful in this month's pic. When I first flipped to it, I was outraged that we have an Autumn shot in the Summer! Then I realized September is kinda Autumn time.

Wet roads, bright leaves, and near perfect glare/reflection on your windows makes for a very vivid pic. My only complaints are your non-M bumper, orange turn signals, and wheels not quite lined up the way they should be.

You get a B.

Hmm, maybe. But on a white or black car, orange turn signals look good. Orange is too close in contrast to red, so it looks weird. The Koseis are good looking wheels, so I don't think LTWs are necessary, and the ride height is fine, so I'm not on board with a drop.

Re: Bimmerfest E36 Calendar

I've got your "B" right here Jared...

I wish the front wheel would be turned a bit and a slight drop all around. From some angles the wheel gap looks Michael Strahan worthy. The corners and bumper cover are not a concern on this car.

No, it's for full-grown E36s only.

Very odd. The coordinates are from near my old place, but are way off from the picture location.

Fun fact: the wrong lat long takes you to right near Hinkle fieldhouse, where butler plays bball. It's also where they filmed the Hoosiers, although i havent seen the movie.

Let's try these: 40*27'16.44", -86*59'07.66"

The wheels should be straight and pointed directly at the camera. Even your rear wheel is pointed to the right of the camera by 10-15*.

Other than that, I really like the shot, and the car. Someday I'll own a colorful E36. I'm thinking Avus, though, because I want to be part of Randy's Avus M3 club.

Hey guys, I am going to be working on some photos as well, maybe get some track shots from my AVUS M3, maybe a nice back road scene with the 328i, and then maybe one day figure out where to take a picture of the M-Tech. By the way, the M-Tech is looking VERY nice... I think you guys are going to enjoy the pictures I will be posting soon. Tee hee hee!

Jose Murillo... 1996 328is... You can see the same picture in his signature on these forums. It's actually a gorgeous photo. I also like the fact it is in fall and on a wet road. VERY good picture and choice for September, IMO.
