Will 2001 750IL rims fit on a 1997 540i?
Saw an ad on Craigslist for some rims that were on a 2001 750IL and was wondering if they would fit on a 97 540i a? Price was right and the rims looks clean but needed tires. back are 285-35-18. Fronts are 255-40-18. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Just browsing around and found these and may need a change from my original set.

E39 has the odd hub-bored size of 74.1mm. Wheels from other bimmers (except E70/71) will NOT fit without some mods. Either you have to use adapters which will change the offset of the wheels, or you have to enlarge the wheel's center bored from 72.56mm to 74.1mm.
