Thanks. I had missed that thread - great review by Stealth Now I'm gonna have to order that full merino platinum interior with same color roof liner - wow! I think mine will be Sahkir Orange but I need to see one in the flesh before I order it

The M5 seems like a great car. There are alternatives out there that will keep the price in check...I hope!! Like the Audi S6 And Jaguar XFR, both of which are meaningfully cheaper. I very much prefer the look of the M5...and that sound...!!!!

Not yet. I think I have about 2500 miles until my next oil change, so that's when I hope to do some test driving.

Sakhir/Platinum is a fantastic look. I've seen it before!

Go look on the M5 registry on M5Post. You may find someone with a Sakhir M5 near you.

Here are some new pics of mine which I took outside my parents home up in Atlanta yesterday. Will do a full photo shoot in South Beach when I get back home after Thanksgiving.

I got a good deal on a 2012 650i vert at the dealer 6 months ago, I saw this M5 sit in the show room for more than a month, so I offered 10% off, they agreed within mins, I should offered 15% off?

A friend of mine said he cancelled his M5 order because the engines had been recalled.

How is the platinum interior versus the typical black?

That would be extremely short sighted or he's yanking your chain. It was an oil pump recall.

I had not heard of any problems with the M5 and was surprised when he said he cancelled his order because of an engine recall. He's getting a Porsche Panamera GTS instead.

Panny GTS is a very nice car and I thought long and hard about getting one. Regardless, I would still pick the M5 over the Panny GTS. The M5 is the better drivers car at a lower cost and this is coming from someone who has driven both (and has had the M5 on the track).

I have not driven the new M5 but have driven a Panamera S. It's a nice highway cruiser but I really don't like how it looks and it's a very large car. I have a Porsche Carrera GTS Cabriolet and usually try to test drive different Porsches when I'm at the dealership.

Dealerships seems to be ordering new BMWs in black than the lighter interiors. I don't quite understand it. Wealthy people drench their home interiors in shades of white.

I think most BMW owners are too lazy to keep their cars clean.

Personally I think a black interior looks ****. It is too monochrome.

Wow, I'm a sucker for bright colors and this color is just gorgeous! I saw this color IRL at the New York Auto Show, but these pics in bright sun look better.
