South East Delivery Question...

I ordered my F30 328i on Oct 1. The BMWUSA tracking site has had my vehicle showing as End Production for a month. My dealer told me yesterday that it is still waiting for the ship. Could this be right? Or am I just that anxious?! I am hoping that their site just hasn't been updated and its on its way across the pond. Anyone have any thoughts on this, or is anyone currently tracking theirs on a ship for south east deliveries?

The VIN number for your vehicle can be used to track shipping if your vehicle is already loaded on a transport ship and if that transport ship is part of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen shipping line. If both are true then plug the VIN number as Cargo ID at this website: W&W Shipping .

Otherwise you can either contact your CA or rely on the BMW website for info.

whats the 11th digit of your vin?

My 328i was built in S Africa. It took about two weeks to get into production. About a week to build. Now my sales guy says three weeks on the boat and one week on the truck to my dealership in Tampa. December 15th is my estimated due date. Hope we both get the soon!

I also ordered 1 Oct and am still awaiting a boat at the port. Mine was a production week 42 Munich build. I'm hoping to see a status update this week... I have no idea what the real shipping schedule looks like though

Thanks, I did contact my CA and got the VIN number, when it does ship I will use your advice.

Yes, my CA over the weekend told me it is in fact a south africa build... the 11th digit is "N"...

I hope so too! I wonder where the south africa builds port on the east coast? Is it Charleston, SC because folks take delivery at the performance center in spartanburg? I ordered on Oct 1, any chance ours is on the same ship?

My CA told me he expects an update, meaning it is en route from SA, this week sometime. Best of luck with your Munich build.

Just got an update call from my CA... car is en route aboard Victorious Ace, I assume yours is on this as well, scheduled to arrive Dec 12 in Brunswick GA, few days of processing and prep, est pick up at my Hilton Head dealer is Dec 18-19. I will try to find a site that allows me to track the ship... if I find one I will post it here. Pumped!!
