should you upgraded the air filter?????
morning,
I have a 2004 530i and i was wondering what’s the better air filter to replace the factory one with K&N or AFE??? and recommendation?? Has anyone notice any mpg improvement once doing this? Last edited by rawn0417; 11-15-2012 at 06:39 AM. |

Don't waste your money, any improvement form these "upgrades" is a pure marketing BS.

But doesn't the K&N improve gas mileage? At least it can be cleaned.

Bmw makes high performance parts for their cars. I would bet that a bmw filter is better than a k&n. dont waste ur money

I think thoses type of air cleaners are for Buggies and Bikes and have no place under the hood of a BMW. Just the oil additives alone trash the intake MAF sensors with oil and dirt . If it was a good idea BMW would of already done it.
