3 Series Noob (my GF) Need some basic info...

Hello, I actually drive a 650 but my GF just picked up a 2012 328ix that I believe has the inline 6 engine. I am looking for answers to a few questions... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

1. What is the "E code" for this model car? I am confused.

2. This car is nearly silent. It needs some help lol... I was thinking of doing an AFE intake and possibly a Magnaflow muffler (leaving stock resonators in place), but the 2012 "328i" 4 cylinder turbo part vs. my GF's inline six cylinder parts obliviously are very different and it causing me a headache!

Can you give me recommendations and part numbers on an intake/exhaust combo (inexpensive solution... not a $1100 cat-back system) that will make this car sound good but not silly. Part numbers would be great!

If it's a sedan, the 2012 328i was the first year for the turbo 4 - and it is an F30. Otherwise, she has the non-turbo I6 and it is an E91 (wagon), E92 (coupe) or E93 (Cabrio).

oRIDDLERo, If its a 328xi 4 door sedan, X-drive, its has I6 engine. Since her car is 328xi, the chassis code is E90.

Thanks for the Clarification brother.. It's a coupe. So I guess it is a E92. .


Any ideas on intake and muffler combo part numbers for a cheap bump in sound/response?
