Mein Auto: BMW 330 CI Convertible
cant get it started

hELLO!
Please help me with problem with 330 CI Convertible, 2004.
Turn the ignition key and the new starter does absolutely nothing, completely dead. The head lights come on and the battery voltage checks 12volts plus.
What flow-chart do I use in trouble shooting?
emc

Classic symptoms of a dead battery....the "12 volts and headlights" really means nothing, I could make that happen with a handful of AA flashlight batteries. *Cranking Amps* is the critical factor here (several hundred are required to spin the engine over), and your battery appears to be just about flat. Suitable replacement units are available at Walmart & Autozone for right around $100. I suggest you get one ASAP, as a weak/failing battery can also kill the alternator, adding to your repair bill....
