I think these are E36M3 wheels. The information that a potential buyer is going to want is the size (picture 2: 7x16) and the offset (also picture 2 ET:{illegible}).
There should also be a 7 digit BMW part number on the wheel somewhere, probably on the back of one of the spokes. If you put that number into realoem, it will probably tell you which model car this wheel came on originally. Other relevant information : documentation of any flaws (bends, scratches, peeling clearcoat on the finish, cracks, curbrash, etc) how many you're trying to sell, package deal, individual, etc if tires are included, if so : -what brand & model, - size, -approx mileage and age, -tread depth, providing tread depth at different points across the tread is preferable so any uneven wear can be detected and of course your desired price location of the wheels willingness to ship, and how you intend to package if you are, cost to ship |

There will not be a BMW part number on the wheel, as these are aftermarket copies of the BMW M-Contour wheel that was fitted to E36 M3 in 17-inch sizes. There were a number of different manfuacturers of these knock-offs, if memory serves. I bought a set in 17 inches from Tire Rack in 2001 or so along with some winter tires.
The offset looks to me like ET38. These should fit many E36 and E46 3 series cars from 1992 to 2005. Since they're 16s, they may not fit 330s, which have larger front brakes. They're too small for M3s as well. The correct tire size on these would be 205/55R-16 or 225/50R-16 for a 3 series. They might also be compatible with an E83 X3, although with larger tires. Quote:

I will defer to you, but for my own edification I would like to know how you can tell that from the pics.

I can tell they are not original equipment simply from the size... BMW never offered the M-Contour in 16-inch diameter; Only in 17-inch.
