When you put the car in reverse, the camera will automatically be activated on the display. Also, there is a button on the lower left corner of the shifter with a "P", that activates the camera manually.

As for Active Cruise Control, I believe there are two extra buttons on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. Push those buttons and see if it gets activated. I don't have ACC so that's all I know.

Check this site. http://content.bmwusa.com/microsite/...e_control.html

As for the ACC, make sure that you have it as an option. It is very different than the standard E60 unit. If you have the second photo you don't have ACC.

If you have it, you will have the same buttons as in the first photo below. The bottom left button turns the unit on, off and can suspend the unit while it is in use. Once you reach the speed you want, press the top left button. If you suspend operation with the on/off button (bottom left) or suspend the unit by activating the brake, you can press the middle left button to resume operation at the prior set speed. The top right button and bottom right button set the distance you want the follow the car in front of yours. When first activated, ACC defaults to four bars. A rule of thumb is one bar is a second from the car in front of you. The top right button removes bars and the bottom right adds bars. The middle right is a toggle switch. If you bring it all the way up it adds 5 MPH. If you bring it all the way down it drops off by 5 MPH. You can also use this toggle switch to add or subtract 1 MPH by slightly lowering it or raising it.

ACC;

Standard Cruise Control;

The ACC is a standalone option. The rear view camera is bundled in the Driver Assistance Package that included the following for $1,900.
Rear-view camera
Active Blind Spot Detection
Side and Top View Cameras
Park Distance Control

That's one thing I hate about BMW, they keep changing the packages every year. I think the rear view camera used to be part of the premium package so most F10s had the rear view camera. Now that it's only part of DAP, I can see how many dealer stock may not have the back up camera.

The back up camera can be obtained separately with the sensors, so you do not have to get the whole package. These 2 additions would have set you back about $3400 MSRP.

One thing I guess confuses me - you bought a brand new car but you were not sure of the options on it?
