Soundplicity IPOD Intergration
I purchased a Soundplicity Iphone Intergration kit from Bavarian Soundwerks. It was VERY easy to install took me about 45 min. . It sounds great ,no static or interference of any kind. I can control song selection via the forward and backward buttons on the stereo. I also ordered a DSP adapter but I did NOT end up needing it, I am in the process of returning it. It also charges my Iphone. I have a 2003 z4 with business stereo, DSP feature and Navigation the kit did not interfere with any of those functions. I have enclosed links for a you tube video that walks you through the install.
Like I said soooo easy a monkey could do it. |

I put the soundplicity iPod integrator in our 325i wagon last year. Just ordered another for the Z3 we just bought. Great sound and easy to install.

I. unfortunately. am not having as good luck as you. In fact, the car is currently at a local sound shop trying to sort out the problems. Install is easy enough, however, the problem is that it will not stay connected. Plays for various periods of time and then disconnects on its own. Don't know if it is a problem with my radio, with the BSW device or what. I will update when we figure out the problem.

Google "ipod cuts out in car". It doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem - there is a possibility the ipod will cut out any time there is a variation in voltage. Have you checked with BSW as it sounds like something they may have dealt with before. Good luck with it.

Update: BSW said to unplug the Soundplicity, allow the capacitors to fully dissapate, and reconnect. Problem fixed for now. But I've just had the car back for a day. I will be interested to see if that fixes the problem on a long term basis or whether the problem returns. Because unplugging is not exactly a simple thing to do. Have to remove trunk lining, put my fat head and fat fingers in odd positions and then wait for a while and then put it all back together. I'll update again in a few weeks if it seems to be a permanent fix, sooner if not.
