Mein Auto: 2010 X5 35d
Keep it or take advantage of current pricing?

I have a 2010 X5 35d that I truly enjoy. I am now sitting on 46,000 miles and trying to decide whether to hang on to, perhaps buy the extended BMW warranty, or is now the time to dump it, take advantage of the current incentives, in addition to my BMWCCA $1,000 rebate, and go for a new one.

Has anyone run the numbers to say when the best time to trade is?

Am leaning towards staying put, but man, the new car bug occasionally gets ahold of me.

depends on what you want to do lol!

3 options:

1) trade it in for a better Trade offer (higher value for 10 X5d) now, since the successor to the E70 is being launched (Detroit Show is gonna be debuted in "concept") in about a month!

2) wait, you could snag a deal on the leftover X5 gassers or Ds later in the year. However your trade value for your current X would be less later (as the 2014 x5 would be out).

3) The last option is you could trade in you vehicle now, get a lease for say 2 or 3 years till the 2015 F15 X5 is launched and the launch bugs of the 2014 are worked out, and then trade in your 13 for the 15 X5 and go from there.

Hope that helps
