2001 3301 E46 Auto

Hello BMW lovers, Ive a slight knock in the front of my car whenever I turn the steering whell to the left, and travel over undulating terrain, ie a driveway or a slight dip in the road.
Ive looked under the car and nothing is making contact with the wheel, nothing is loose, and I have lubricated all the suspension joints, all the bushes look OK nothing is flogged out.
Its got me miffed.

believe this should be in the e46 section....the e36 chassis didn't come with a 330 badge.


i believe a mod can pull this over to the proper forum for you. they'll have a much better idea as to what to look for, but i would probably suggest jacking the car up and shake the suspension down to see what, if anything, shows to be loose.

Control arm bushings are a common cause of front end noise, we`ve seen them fail in as little as 25,000 miles....

Agreed, you most likely need new control arm bushings and depending on the miles new control arms as well.
