1998 BMW M3 rear window spoiler

Hey guys I have a question I purchased a 1998 BMW m3 4 door and the guy gave me a rear window spoiler looking strip and I'm not sure what kind of glue or adhesive tape or what should I use I don't wanna mess up the window so if you can help me thanks appreciate it

You'll want the 3M out door hold double sided tape. It's the one with a red colored wrapper and the tape itself is dark gray. The normal hold (white tape with white wrapper) is not strong enough to handle wind and rain.
