Unhappy 05 750iL - Cannot open hood

I have a 05 750iL and the battery is flat. I cannot start the vehicle because the hood is not opening. I have removed the grill but am unable to see the mechanism. The lever is broken and the cable is not working the mechanism under the hood. The driver side has released fully. Any ideas other than an acetalene torch? Frustrated. Thanks

Battery is located in trunk, under the spare tire/ jack. You can use key to get into trunk located on fob.

Many thanks. I will try it on Wednesday. The car has been sitting unused for 8 months.

bonnet or hood that I cannot open

I have a 750Li with a flat battery. I cannot get the hood or bonnet open and all suggestions have not worked. The driver side is released but the nearside or passenger side is still not releasing.
I have removed the grill and the wheel well liner but not able to access engine housing or underneath bonnett.

I need some advice other than cutting the bonnet open with a orch or saw. too drastic

I don't think charging the battery will solve his issue of being unable to pop the hood

Your release cable may have went bad .... I had the same problem with my hood took it to the dealer and $345 later it was working again

Now that you have the kidneys/front grills out,
grab the release cable that you see coming from the driver side, going to the passenger side and pull it hard toward the driver side. That should release the latch on the passenger side.

I am having kind of the same issue; for me, it's the driver side that won't release.

Let me know how you fare and how you got the driver side released.
