Brake rotor retaining bolt
What is the Torx size of the bolts that hold the brake rotors to the hubs?
Is it even a Torx drive? I haven't looked at it yet. Thanks! Last edited by mr_bean; 11-18-2012 at 03:50 AM. |

On other BMWs it is a hex (allen). I'd order spares just in case it strips. If it does strip just drill the head off, remove the rotor, and grab the 'now exposed' threads with a vicegrips.

Typically the rotor bolts use a 5 or 6mm hex head. I apply anti-seize on them upon re-installation.

Thanks!
I just assumed it was a Torx because that's what's on my Mini. They came out with no issues. Now, does anyone know how to reset the brake pad warning? |
