I have a choice either m60 or m62 for my e36 325i swap and I want to know what motor has more performance or racing parts available for it

probably do better with these questions in the e39 and e38 forums, as these have the m6x motors in them and would have a better idea as to how to get the most out of them.

M62 would be better imo. Get one from 1998 or later and you get VANOS. (M62TUB44)
OR get the M62B46, from an X5 4.6is. Such a BEAST motor, only thing better in that era is the E39 M5 (S62), but those are super expensive.
