2010 XDrive 48i or 2011 35d?
Gents,
Thanks in advance for all your help. I've narrowed my search down to a 2010 XDrive48i and a 2011 X5 35d. The price and miles are the same ($47K and 45K miles). Both are CPO. Options are essentially the same with an edge to the diesel. Interior and exterior colors are both ok. Which would you choose? |

Diesel. The mileage on the 4.8 would annoy me, with little benefit to the gas v8. IMO, the diesel is an ideal SUV. Around town, hauling kids, travel with the family, etc. if you need a stoplight racer, or throaty roar of a v8, don't buy an SUV!
IMO, the diesel will hold mote value. Sounds like it has an edge in equipment..AND a year newer is worth 4-5k. I assume these are lease returns? If you know what the residual was on a 3 year lease, 15k a year, that will tell you approx what the dealer paid.... GL A

Is the 2011 35d got the LCI updates, with all the new electronics? That would be enough for me.

2011 35d. Newer, updated electronics, better gas mileage
