Aux cooling fan
I have a 99 Z3, the electric aux fan in front of the radiator runs all the time. Should this run when engine is cold and no a/c is on?

Nope. It should only run for (a) temperature sensor on the radiator sensing above 91C, or (b) the air conditioning is on. It should then go to high speed if the coolant gets above 99C.
It could be a stuck relay. It would be the purple one or the yellow one in back. At least the yellow one can be swapped for a quick test. Or it could be the temperature sensor on the side of the radiator. Just unplug it and see if the fan stops. |

Aux cooling fan
Thanks for the info, I didn't think it should run.
