God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993. |

New 325i!
So i havent told mum yet.... but ive won an auction on an 88 E30 325i. it has a cracked head, but oterwise excellent condition all round. south african model, so had cruise control, larger fuel tanks, battery in boot, and even more rust protection than usual! not to mention some other stuff exclusive to this market. also has leather sport seats, virtually unkerbed (but a few years old) 16" mags, and green, and only 100,000km's! about 60000 miles?. all for $650. at current rates thats about US$1200, but usually about US$800-900 (our dollar is way down at the moment coz of the ressession). i suspect something else may be wrong with the engine because of it getting a cracked head after such low kays, but thats common with the 325i im told?
A pretty good deal if i do say so myself! ill put up some pics as soon as i pick it up!

Keeps getting better! i just poped the center caps off the wheels and relised they are genuine hartage wheels! :O
as i said above, i need a new head for it.. what can i use? its facelift 325i, so obvioulsy direct swap will. but M20B23? B20? Taken from Wikipedia: "Three different head castings were used over the engine's production run. ... The final version was #1705885 or "885" introduced in the 325i. Ports were further enlarged, valves were larger and the combustion chamber was redesigned to improve flow and thermodynamic efficiency." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M20B25 and any tips or tricks i should know? Thanks

Hate to break it to you but that happened 3 years ago.
Or you knew and decided for necrophilia! I think it had an M52 conversion and then was sold due to rust. |
